For those of you who have the means, you can go online and order a car to your own specifications. Most auto manufacturers have this capability these days. Just select a base model and and add or subtract what you want. Two wheel drive or All wheel drive? Hard top or soft top? Manual transmission or Automatic? Black, Blue or Red exterior color? The options are many.
This effort can be compared to what God did in Heaven so long ago. I believe He has some out of this world software that allows Him to take the base model human and uniquely customize it to His own design. You and I are the result of that effort and we are surrounded by our fellow unique customizations every day.
Much like the Model T's back in the early 1900's, if we all looked the same, it would be pretty boring. The magic of creation is the diversity that surrounds us. From flowers to animals to God's greatest creation us, our eyes get a huge feast of color, majesty and variety to take in. From the spectacle of nature to the different cultures and races, customization is the proof that something or more likely someone was behind all of this design.
Much like the customized auto, we are not meant to be hidden in a garage. Our beauty and uniqueness were created to be on display for all to see. From the lines of our body to the artistry of our face, our uniqueness is the output of the Creator for all to behold. In some way, we are beautiful and possess some form of individuality that differs from everyone else.
To that end, like the car, we are a vehicle to carry forth God's message and showcase our gifts and share them with the world. Whether it is our smile to brighten up someone's day or a kind word to touch the heart of the down trodden, our mission in life is to reflect His light onto others so that they may see Him through us. Without light, no one can see the customized car's refinement that went into its creation.
Like the customized car, our purpose is to showcase to the universe His greatest creation, US! As the Bible says
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, Genesis 1:26
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
So we were made in His image. Just like us customizing our brand new car, we design it towards our own likes and image. God designed us in His image to reflect His majesty and grandeur. The Bible says there are creatures in Heaven that look animalistic but we do not mirror them. We were customized in the likeness of the Creator of the universe.
So the next time you look in the mirror, DO NOT focus on the flaws or the defects that you believe you possess in your physical self. Focus on the wonderful, unique creation you are made in the image of God Himself. He is your favorite customized car. Just don't tell anyone else...
