Have you run into anyone who still does not believe in God? Would you like some tools to counter their argument? Well keep reading below.
The Bible was written over 3,500 years ago. The words contained therein speak to the existence of the Living God. Here are a few examples.
Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.
Do you know anyone older than 120 years? Has anyone made it past this age in the recent history? This passage was written over 3,000 years ago. Surely mankind would come up with technology or medical science to extend our lives past 120 over this period , no? Uh no..
This passage alone should convince anyone of an Intelligence that transcends us. If not, here is another.
Leviticus 15:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When any man has a discharge from his body, his discharge is unclean. (This could be blood, feces, urine, semen..) Continuing in 11 And whomever the one who has the discharge touches, and has not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
Sounds reasonable, we do this today. However up to the 19th century, Doctor's were still operating on multiple people at the same time and not washing their hands. This transferred bacteria and other organisms from one patient to another causing unnecessary death. The Bubonic plague of the 14th century would have been less deadly if people had practiced this simple procedure. The Bible wrote about this 2,500 years earlier...
There are many more but these two are pretty compelling arguments for the existence of a Creator. One who loves us and sent His Son to be a sacrifice to obliterate sin. Why do bad things happen, you detractors might ask?
Well, we chose to live without God almost 6,000 years ago and He is allowing us to live out the lie that life can exist without God. He alone offers us rest and assurance that if we follow His words, our lives will be less volatile and more fruitful.
Here is one more about today. Daniel 12:4: "But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." Has knowledge increased lately. The computer was created in the 1950's. Over the course of only 70 years we have small computers we carry in the palm of our hand that can do amazing things. We can also get from New York to London in 5 hours. Amazing, yes?
Yes and a book written over 2,000 years ago predicted this all and there is more to come.. Those who read these words and believes will be blessed. Revel 1:3.
Stand firm in your faith, defend the Lord and His Word to all who argue against it and feel free to use these tools to counter any arguments against Him, Him who will save us from death itself.
And that is the Whole Truth!
