One Righteous

I pray to God every day. Does he hear my prayers? The Bible says:

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

James 5:16

So the goal is to be righteous. Because the prayers offered up by a righteous man will bring answer to prayer. The Israelites of the Old Testament had this in their Priests of the day to offer up prayers to God on their behalf. They offered up sacrifices to Jehovah to cleanse the people of their sin and heal their land.

Today we seek out our local Pastor, Reverend or Priest to pray with us so that our prayers may be accompanied by them so they will make it past the censors of Heaven and land at the feet of God Himself.

When we do pray on our own, we must recite the Lord's prayer to get any hope of our words reaching the ears of God.

Is this really how we need to pray? Do we need to bring them to Holy men? Do we need to pray the Lord's prayer every time we bend the knee?

The Whole Truth and answers to these questions in no.

The Bible says in Romans 3

As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;

So what hope do we have? No one is righteous so what do we do to get our prayers to the the ONE who can truly help and bring solace to our troubled minds?

When Jesus died on the cross, what event occurred immediately thereafter?

Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. Mark 15

The veil of the temple is what separated Israel and the Priests from the Holy of Holies and was their separation from God. Only the Head Priest could enter this inner sanctum. Jesus death on the cross removed this separation as a sign that the Priests were no longer needed. He would become our High Priest and we need only present our prayers to Him.

At the foot of the cross, a Roman Centurion identified who Jesus really was.

So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!” Luke 24

Jesus is our righteousness. He is the Righteous One who can take our prayers to the feet of God. if we pray to Him, He hears our prayers and lifts them up to be answered by God. I know MANY of my prayers have been answered by God and I pray yours may be as well. God loves you, He sent His Son to be that sacrifice and to become our head Priest, not a man of sin. He is our Righteous One and prayers delivered to Him availeth much. Amen!

And that is the Whole Truth!

May God truly bless you in your walk with Him.

And remember, God always answers His kneemail.
