Back to School

This month is the annual ritual of returning to school for the children of our nation. Kids all across the country are coming to terms with the fact that summer break is over and sleeping in must come to an end. Unfortunate, I know...

We adults must get back to school as well. While our time in mandated instruction is over, we still should continue our learning beyond the classroom. There is a book that was removed from the classroom years ago that is just as relevant today as it was when it was first written. This book is the Bible and Paul reveals to us in Timothy who wrote this book.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 1 Timothy 3:16

Above all that has been written and what is taught in school, this one book provides all the sustenance we need to overcome, navigate this plane of existence and prepare for the world to come. Jesus referenced this book in his sermon validating who He was. In John we read:

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, John 5:39

The scriptures should be read at least once a day. It does not take much to study these words revealed by God himself. If you struggle with this, start with the book of John. If you want to be successful, read Proverbs. If you want to understand the love of God, read the Psalms. Whatever you need, it is there, just read...

God wants you to build a relationship with Him and He can be found in the pages of Scripture. He is ready and willing to help you there. Meet Him there every morning or evening or pull up on your smartphone while you wait for the bus. Anytime is a great time to consume the Word.

We should lead by example to our children and show them that learning does not end after High School but is a life long endeavor. One that will prepare us for the life to come. Head back to school too this August.

And that is the Whole Truth!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.

And remember,

God always answers His kneemail.
