It is that time of year again when we take stock of the previous year and make plans for the new year. Gyms and weight loss companies ramp up their advertising during this time as they know many have resolved to lose weight in 2020.
Among your New Years resolutions, let me suggest you set out to develop a closer relationship with Him. One way to do that is to submerse yourself in His Word. I have read the Bible cover to cover three times now and it is not hard to do in a year. At 1,189 chapters, you could finish the bible in a year if you read just four chapters a day. Easy!
It is this relationship that has brought so many fruits into my life. I could not have completed over 200 posts on this page and amassed over 2,200 followers if I did not have Him directing me. As was written in Matthew 7- how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
We must first ask! Take time during the new year to get down on bended knee, head down and eyes closed and ask Him to come into your life. Ask Him to have a stronger relationship with you. Ask Him to guide your steps instead of you trying to do it on your own. After all, how has that worked out for you so far?
2020 is the year for you to reach all of your goals. But the secret is to have those goals and objectives handed down from the Lord instead of our own selfish mind. Make the relationship with Jesus your greatest goal for 2020 and all of your other wants and needs will be delivered as well.
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Matthew 6:31
Have a blessed and wonderful New Year and thanks for tuning in in 2019. More to come in 2020!
God Bless
And that is the Whole Truth!
And remember,
God always answers His kneemail.
