I have an Apple smartphone. Every few weeks/months, I see a little icon above the General Settings Menu asking me to upgrade the software. This is usually to fix bugs in the older software although Apple would have you believe it is for new features (and new bugs).
This upgrade link happens automatically since I am connected to the Verizon network and the phone is continually pinging the mother ship for any new upgrades.
We are very much like our smartphones. We are intelligent creatures utilizing software(mind) to navigate this plane of existence. We are constantly adding new images and videos to our hard drive(brain) as well as sounds and smells. Every night we recharge this organic hardware with sleep.
Just like the smartphone, we too can get upgrades to our software. But we must be connected to the source in order to so so. This software upgrade however, is not full of bugs or code we do not need. These upgrades only work to make us better in our interactions and tasks we attempt every day. In the case of my smartphone, it needs to be connected to its creator, Apple. In our case we need to be connected to our Creator as well.
How does one go about this? All of the code and data we will ever need access to is compiled into one book. The Bible has everything we need to insure our interactions and actions we take are free of strife and destruction. Additionally, prayer is the connection we need to stay tied to the source for upgrades.
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Our prayers are the updates and upgrades we require to keeping the software up to data and functioning properly. The network is the Holy Spirit who carries our requests and praises heavenward. Jesus as the intermediary places these requests at the Fathers feet and intercedes on our behalf. Blessings and better functioning software follow if we continue to keep this connection.
