We just can't seem to get through life without getting hurt. Whether it is physically, mentally, psychologically, etc the ally's just go on and on. We seek our own remedies through alcohol, drugs, destructive behavior and solitude.
The Bible is pretty clear why we humans must endure pain and suffering. We have chosen a life without God as our Healer and Lord of our lives. We have chosen to make it on our own and prove to the world we can overcome. Oy, why waste the time and effort?
Pain and suffering may not be completely avoidable in this realm but I believe we can minimize it. The words of Scripture provide healing and a path forward when it comes to strife and malaise.
But as for me, afflicted and in pain— may your salvation, God, protect me. Psalm 69:29
God wants to be our Healer and Protector in times of trouble. He wants to come to our rescue and prove His way is better than anything else. The Alcoholics Anonymous recovery program promotes a Higher Power to beat the disease. I am here to introduce you to that Higher Power and His name is Jesus and He invites us to call on Him at anytime.
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, Colossians 1:13
We are sons and daughters of the Most High. We were born to have dominion over all we have been given by Him. Proving His love for us on the cross, why would we discount this? Lo I am with you He said and He is! Just call on Him and ask for guidance through whatever trial and tribulation you are experiencing. He will provide a way IF you have faith in Him and follow in His path instead of your own.
The true meaning of the Bible is to finally put away the notion that man can make it on his own. Poppycock says the Son of Man. We do not exist without Him and it is by Him our wounds are healed and our broken hearts are mended.
I have prayed over this post that whoever reads it will receive God's blessing upon reading it. I pray we all choose the only therapy that is going to relieve our suffering.
May God come into your life and relieve your pain and may you seek Him in all you do. For by doing so, your pain will be removed from you and you will seek to trust in the Lord who has healed you.
And that is the Whole Truth!
