We are a royal priesthood. Peter mentions this in 1 Peter 2. We the children of the Most High who follow His precepts and try to love one another just as He did while living among us 2,000 years ago.
We are not like the Christy Brinkley's and Ryan Reynolds of the world. We are short, overweight, less educated and living paycheck to paycheck. However, we do have a heart of gold, look for the best in others and try to help out where we can. This virus has revealed many human angels who walk among us and they should be raised above the Hollywood elite who seem to get all of the coverage and money..
God will not be working through them my friends. He will be working through you and I. He will seek out the less fortunate and the pitied and the try hards who have faith greater than a mustard seed and He will choose them to do His will.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. 1 Corinthians 1:27
Consider yourself blessed if you fall into any of these categories and know the King of the Universe wants you in His courtyard. He has chosen you for a task whether great or small to proclaim His existence to this sin filled world and to be a light unto it.
Do not discount yourself or complain of your less than perfect traits. Understand God made you who you are and challenges you to rise above the physical imperfections and embrace the spiritual ones that can be yours. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Prov 30 Amen.
It is not Brad Pitt bringing these posts to you every week but a short, "well nourished" man of polish decent. Foolish, weak and despised just like many of you. God works through me to write these words of encouragement and He wants to work through you! All you need do is ask and believe. Simple.
Go forth and spread His message of Peace, Love and sanctification. Your beauty won't do it and neither will your money. Only your compassion and willingness to serve are the requirements necessary to be used as one of God's instruments.
