I learned yesterday that my church was suspending services for the time being due to the Coronovirus outbreak. I am involved in Boy Scouts and my Troop and the Scout Council have suspended activities as well.
On Social media, there are pictures of stores where the shelves are completely empty of food and toilet paper.
The facts are that the Coronavirus is similar to the flu. According to the Coronovirus map put out by Johns Hopkins University, the death toll is just above 4,000 people worldwide so far. In the US alone, the seasonal flu kills over 20,000 people every year. I appreciate the caution and effort taken to minimize the spread of this virus. It is especially harmful to those with underlying health conditions or the elderly. But this is the case for the seasonal flu as well.
The real issue here is the response by the media and the public regarding this epidemic. Fear is the overriding condition that is spreading faster than the virus itself. Fear of death or illness has spread like wildfire to the stores and public events scheduled for this month. Schools and professional sports have been shuttered in the wake of this calamity and the end result will be everyone huddle in their homes alone overcome by fear.
Let us not forget that God is large and in charge STILL!
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4

My house has faith in God and we are not afraid of the coronavirus, the weather or anything man can throw at us, We have a God in heaven who loves us and counts us much greater than the sparrows!
I implore you to join me in this stance and proclaim the same. The enemy is hard at work here dividing and conquering and instilling fear. Any good Bible student can see what is really happening here. This is just one more attempt the enemy is using to destroy mankind. One more step towards the end of times when our Lord will come back and proclaim His love for us and finally place the enemy in chains.
Do not fear. Trust in your God with all of your heart and soul and do not give into this wave of hysteria spreading over this planet. As is with the flu, those of you with underlying health conditions should take special precautions but do not lack faith. God will continue to do battle with this occupying force and will most certainly overcome him.
Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2
