Separated from God

God is pure. He is pure Love, pure honesty, pure from iniquity, pure from all filthiness. He can have nothing in His company that is not pure. Sin is impure.

We chose back in the Garden to disobey God and in so doing introduced sin into the world. By doing so, God had to separate Himself from us as He is pure and we were not. This is the story of Scripture. The Father had to separate from us since we chose sin over Him. Yet He never abandoned us to sin. He always had a plan to repair the damage of what choice we had made.

The Book of Leviticus promotes cleanliness to be in the presence of God. Priests had to bathe and not touch anything dead to go into the most Holy of Holies. Even Jesus revealed this when He rose from the dead and Mary Magdalene discovered Him after His resurrection. She tried to hug Him but He pushed her away.

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” John 20

Jesus statement was that He was now pure and could not be touched as He would be ascending to the Father who was pure and would allow Jesus to enter into His presence. Free from sin, Jesus unlike us could now come into the presence of Almighty God to plead our case. This was God's plan all along. We needed a way back to God and He provided this in the sacrifice of Jesus. A way that we could be made pure and forgiven in order to once again stand in the presence of God Himself.

Just like the Garden. Now that we have experienced all that sin produces, we understand a life without Him is full of misery and pain. Those who do not understand this will be given the choice just like Adam and Eve and if they choose sin, God in His mercy, will subject them to the lake of fire rather than trying to live forever without Him.

God wants us to be in His presence. God is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3. His grace is sufficient and He loves us immensely. The battle over sin has been won at Calvary and Jesus sacrifice is the bridge that makes at one ment with God possible once again. Let us praise His holy name!

And that is the Whole Truth!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.

God always answers His kneemail.
