God's Majesty in the Heavens

Today is the Summer Solstice. This is the day where the daylight reaches its peak for the year in the northern hemisphere. Where I live in California, the sun will rise at 5:43 am and set at 8:09 pm giving us over 14 hours of daylight today.

This phenomenon is caused by the Earth reaching its maximum tilt of 23.44 degrees towards the Sun. This annual event has been going on for several millennial. It has never changed or wavered and festivals all over the planet celebrated by cultures go back thousands of years.

In the the whole solar system, only Earth has this level of tilt which gives rise to the four seasons. This tilt allows life to exist on the planet and it is this tilt astronomers are looking for when trying to find other habitable planets in the universe.

It is unique and never changing. This is the work of God. Left to "mother nature" one would think over time, there would be changes to this tilt or variations like on Mars. But just like clockwork, this tilt happens every year at exactly the same time and exactly in the same way.

How much more proof of God does one need in seeing the majesty of His handiwork in the Heavens? This phenomenon alone should persuade scientists that something supernatural is at work. How much more does He do than this? Rainbows, the protection of Jupiter to protect us from space debris, the Moon to create tides and a protective barrier to shield us from the harmful effects of the Sun!

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"

Genesis 1:1

God loves us and wants us to grow and prosper in His Word. That is why He has provided it along with natural phenomenon we can observe to validate His claims He is God and one that should be paid respect and praise for our very existence.

Let us take time every June 21 and pay special attention to the work of God's majesty in the Heavens and offer up a little extra prayer of gratitude for all He does for us.

And that is the Whole Truth!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.

And remember,

God always answers His kneemail.
