The Pool of Sin

The world we live in could be compared to a very large pool. We have all been thrown into it the deep end and forced to survive. There is just a small area that is the shallow end but many never make it there. For most of us we must tread water to stay alive. Some are lucky to have flotation devices but for rest of us it is either sink or swim in this pool of sin.

Just like the water, sin wears us out and can overcome us to the point of drowning and death. There may be temporary relief with some kind of life preserver but like water, sin is cold and we cannot remain it for too long. We need a life guard to come rescue us. God has provided just that person who has swam in this pool but overcame the frigid waters and the waves that sought to destroy Him.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Jesus dove into this pool of sin over 2000 years ago. He swam amongst us and experienced what is what like to wade in these waters. He however, was able to rise above the waters and walk upon them. He did not let sin overtake Him and went about trying to save others from drowning within it.

He offered a way of salvation and that Life Preserver is still available to you and me today. Won't you take His hand and allow Him to pull you out of this pool of sin and like Peter, walk on top of the water rather than suffering within it?

God does not want us to drown. He just wants us to realize that we cannot tread water forever on our own and we need a Savior from this pool of sin. He has provided us this Life Guard who is willing to come to us and pull us from the waters and give us the victory over sin and death.

Reach up, scream for help and let Jesus save you from this pool of sin!

And that is the Whole Truth!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.

And remember,

God always answers His kneemail.
