The Holy Spirit and the Debit card

How would you like to have a spiritual guide to assist you on this plane of existence? The scriptures tell us these are here to minister to us.

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Hebrews 1:14

I have had multiple personal experiences with this. Recently, I returned from a trip to celebrate my father's 80th. On the plane I placed my debit card in my vest. Upon my return with all the chaos of unpacking and getting back into the rhythm of everyday life, I forgot the card was there.

I went to the store the following day and opened my wallet and the card was missing. The next day I tore up the house looking for it. Resolved that it was gone, I bemoaned the task of getting a new one. In my desperation to find it, I sought God's assistance through prayer. I have had success with this in the past so hopefully this effort was in accordance with His will for me.

No luck so being late for work I headed out to the car. As I left out the garage door, the strap to my shoulder bag caught on the door. This had never happened before and recognizing this thought Heaven's ministers were at work here. It was almost like they were saying "Not so fast there mister"

I came back into the foyer and five feet away on the stairwell banister was my vest hanging on the railing. I opened the pocket and sure enough there was the card.

It is my belief that God's Holy Spirit and spiritual ministers are under utilized in this sin filled world. I believe they have unlimited capacity and are there to assist us whenever needed. The original lie told in the garden was that we did not need God. This as us Bible reading scholars know is not true. We need God 24x7 whether it is for health issues or strength to overcome challenges and temptations. The Holy Spirit is available at any time for those who follow God's will for mankind.

As heirs through Christ, we are gifted with guides to help us succeed in our efforts and become better ambassadors of the kingdom to come. These guides may be angels or even the Holy Spirit Himself! He is in us!

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6

The Whole Truth is that we need God everyday and He is willing to help us in everything we do. Continue to develop a relationship with Him and He will give you the joys of your heart or help you find a debit card.

And that is the Whole Truth!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.

And remember,

God always answers His kneemail.
