We are all familiar with the story of Job. God singled him out to Satan of how good he was but Satan rebuked him stating Job was protected by God . So God removed His protections from Job and Satan stepped in.
The first catastrophes were were pretty bad with his livestock and children being taken away. One would think, it would get easier from there but this was not the case. According to the Book of Job, they got worse. He was at the point of utter destruction before God finally stepped in. All was restored and Job passed the test.
How many times have we felt abandoned by God. Not only were things not going our way but they seemed to get worse rather than better. It is hard but the results are glorious. The Bible states in 1 Peter 1:
"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love"
The trials are tough and they may get worse but the end result will be the more precious than gold! Keep the faith as Job did and ward off any of those who seek your demise and goat you to give in. We are children of the Most High and this world with its temptations and tricksters are no match for the Power of God through the Holy Spirit. Cling to the Truth and the sacrifice of Him who paved the way for our eventual gift of Eternal life!
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.
Job 5
