The Bible summed in two passages

Sadly, very few people have actually read the Bible. Down through history, mankind has relied on others, usually priests or holy men, to read the scriptures and interpret them for them. This has gotten mankind into a lot of trouble. I know it is long and difficult book to understand in some places but definitely worth the effort.

As someone who has read the Bible cover to cover three times, I can confidently say that you can probably sum it all up in two approaches. These two themes run throughout almost every book of the Bible and the final book Revelations hangs its message on both of these concepts.

In Revelation 14 , it says Babylon is Fallen. It also states in chapter 12 that only those who have the Testimony of Jesus will prevail in the end.

Babylon is a reference to King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 . In it he walked the grounds of his palace and stated: saying, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?” In that moment , God spoke from heaven saying "the kingdom has departed from you! And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen; and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.”

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul states: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

So therefore, the message of the scriptures is this:

God made everything and we should be grateful for all He has done for us and to walk humbly with Him and

to Love completely in everything we do whether it is in worship or interaction with our fellow human beings.

So if you want to live forever, not sound like a clanging cymbal and not eat grass, then be humble and love everyone including God.

That's it! Really rather simple but I guess God felt He needed 66 books to get the point across.

Although I truly believe He did it this way to see who really wanted a relationship with Him and was willing to take the time in study and prayer in building and cultivating that relationship.

Just because I have summed this up does not relieve anyone from going and reading the Bible for themselves. It is most definitely the best return on your investment of time and effort. God wants us to have a relationship with Him and is waiting for you in the pages of the Bible.

And that is the Whole Truth!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and may God bless you in your ongoing walk with Him.

And remember,

God always answers His kneemail.
