I know a woman whose parents confessed that she was an accident. They already had two kids and were not planning to have any more. Passion and circumstance overcame those plans and she was born.
In God's realm, there are no accidents. Every child born is for a purpose. Just like the birds of the air and the grass of the field, we all serve a purpose. If anyone has received the breath of life, then they are fully endowed children of the Creator set upon this little planet to fulfill His purpose as well as our own. The Psalmist proclaims in Psalm 20
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.
We are the handiwork of the Most High and each one of us was carefully made and known by Him before we were born. Because of this, we are all worthy of the promise and the inheritance to come and no one will be left out unless they choose to be.
We all have a part to play on this grand stage no matter how great or small. It can only take a smile or kind word towards another to turn their entire day around. Be the change God wants you to be and remember you were not an accident.
So if your parents tell others you were an accident, then remind them that God does not make mistakes and all of His children are born for a reason. Even if you were the only person on the world worth saving, Jesus would still have died at Calvary just for you. That is how important you are!
